Maybe the agency that built your website has folded. Maybe the freelancer who designed your logo has gone quiet. Maybe the person who “handled the marketing” left six months ago and took all the passwords with them. You’ve got a website on a platform you can’t update, running a theme that’s no longer supported, and a brand identity that’s been slowly drifting off course for years because nobody’s been minding it.

Or maybe everything technically works. It just doesn’t work for you anymore. The brand was designed a decade ago for a version of the business that doesn’t exist now. The website converts visitors into confusion rather than enquiries. The print materials don’t match the website, the website doesn’t match the signage, and all three look like they belong to different companies.

You don’t necessarily need someone to start from scratch. You need someone to look at what you’ve got, work out what’s salvageable, be honest about what isn’t, and sort the rest out. That’s what we do. We’ve been cleaning up other people’s messes for over 30 years. Some of them were even our own.

We don’t walk in assuming everything needs ripping up. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it just needs tightening. The first step is always an honest assessment. And we’ll tell you what we actually think, not what we’d like to sell you.

Brand audit.

 We look at your brand across every touchpoint. Logo, colours, typography, tone, website, print, social, signage, email signatures, that weird version of the logo someone made in PowerPoint in 2017 that somehow ended up on the van. We assess what’s working, what’s dated, what’s inconsistent, and what’s actively working against you. Then we tell you, plainly, what should change and what can stay.

Rebrand or refresh.

Not every brand needs tearing down. Sometimes it’s a refinement. Tighten the identity, update the palette, modernise the typography, bring everything back into alignment. Sometimes it genuinely needs rebuilding from strategy upwards. We’ll tell you which, and why, before any design work starts. And if we think you don’t actually need us at all, we’ll tell you that too. It’s happened. We survived.

Website rescue.

We take over websites built by other agencies, on platforms we didn’t choose, with code we didn’t write. We assess the state of things. CMS, theme, plugins, hosting, security, performance, content, that contact form that hasn’t worked since March. Then we give you a clear picture of whether it’s fixable or needs replacing. If it’s fixable, we fix it. If it needs rebuilding, we rebuild it properly and migrate your content across.

Platform migration.

 Stuck on a platform that’s costing you money, limiting what you can do, or slowly dying? We migrate websites between CMS platforms, typically to WordPress, handling content, redirects, SEO preservation, and testing. You end up on something you can actually manage without calling a developer every time you want to change a phone number.

File recovery and asset management.

 Lost your logo files? Can’t access your brand assets? Previous designer working from a laptop that’s since gone to the great recycling centre in the sky? We can recreate logos from existing materials, rebuild brand guidelines, and produce new master files in editable formats. It takes some detective work, but we’ve done it plenty of times.

Questions we get asked


Can you take over a website built by another agency?
Yes. We do it regularly. We’ll need access to the hosting, CMS, and whatever source files exist. If access is limited or credentials are lost, we can usually work around it. And if the site needs rebuilding rather than fixing, we’ll tell you upfront rather than patching something that should be replaced.
What’s the difference between a brand refresh and a full rebrand?

A refresh keeps the core identity but updates, tightens, and modernises it. New palette, cleaner typography, consistent application across formats. A rebrand starts from strategy and builds a new identity from the ground up. We’ll recommend whichever is right based on what we find, not what generates a bigger invoice.

We’ve lost our original design files. Can you help?

Usually, yes. We can recreate logos from high-resolution images, rebuild brand guidelines from existing materials, and produce new master files in editable formats. If you’ve got a business card and a website, we’ve got enough to start. If you’ve got a photo of a napkin someone drew the original logo on, we’ve worked with worse.

How do you assess what’s worth keeping?

Three questions. Does it still represent the business accurately? Does it work across all the formats it needs to? Does it help or hurt when people encounter it? Anything that passes all three stays. Everything else is up for discussion.

Can you migrate us to a different CMS?

 Yes. We handle content migration, URL redirects, SEO preservation, and thorough testing. Most of our migrations land on WordPress because it gives clients the most control and the widest support ecosystem, but we’ll recommend based on your needs, not ours.

What if we just need one thing fixed?

 That’s fine. A quick website update, a logo recreation, a set of business cards with the new address. Not every job needs to be a project with a timeline and a Gantt chart. We’ll quote it proportionately and get it done.

Can you fix a site that’s been hacked or has security issues?

We can assess the damage, clean it up, and put proper security measures in place to stop it happening again. If the site is too compromised to recover safely, we’ll recommend rebuilding on a secure, maintained platform. Either way, you’ll know exactly where you stand before we start.

Our brand has evolved informally over the years and now nothing matches. Where do we start?

With the audit. We look at everything that currently exists. Every version of the logo, every colour variation, every piece of collateral, every rogue PowerPoint template. Then we work out what the brand should be, based on where the business is now, and produce a consistent set of assets and guidelines to bring it all back into line.

Do you work with businesses outside Hertfordshire?

Yes. We’re based in Hemel Hempstead but we work with clients across the UK and internationally. Geography is rarely a barrier. Most of the work happens over calls, emails, and screen shares. We’ll travel for the important bits.

What does a fix-it project typically cost?

Depends entirely on the scope. A logo recreation is a few hundred quid. A full rebrand with website rebuild could be several thousand. We’ll give you a clear quote upfront based on what we find in the assessment. No surprises, no scope creep, no mysterious “additional costs” appearing on the invoice.
